“More feets in sheets” via Wyndham channels
LAS VEGAS—The goal is “more feets in sheets, the highest rate and lowest acquisition cost,” by driving more bookings directly to Wyndham’s online channels, according to Eric Danziger, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group.
The way to get there is through the launch of new websites that include Trip-Advisor ratings, for the 15 Wyndham brands.
Danziger recapped other initiatives that will help direct bookings away from the OTAs and onto Wyndham websites.
o Mobile websites;
o Apps that are mobile tested;
o New technology to help organize rates;
o Enhanced alternative selling on wyndham.com; and
o Use of Roomkey.com, the site founded earlier this year by some of the major brands including IHG, Choice, Wyndham, Hilton and Marriott.
“It’s a new world, and Wyndham Hotel Group has its number,” Danziger quipped.
