Pacrim Hospitality offices on the move to Bedford
HALIFAX—Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc (PHSI) has been “on the move” due to unprecedented growth for almost two years, so it’s no surprise that the corporate offices in Halifax are bursting at the seams.
And as PHSI, it’s sister operations Winport Developments and Intergy eMarketing Solutions and the newly-minted Holloway Lodging REIT prepare for new offices, “there’s a cultural shift and statement about the future happening here, as much as there is a move to more efficient office space,” says Glenn Squires, CEO of PHSI and of Holloway Lodging.
The companies grow and thrive based upon the success of each other—the business models are built that way—and this move affords each “the independence to pursue your business objectives with the confidence of having your closest partners literally, next door,” Squires says.
PHSI, established in 2000 is today one of Canada’s largest, privately-owned hotel management companies with a portfolio of some 60 hotels, and 6,000 hotel rooms and suites throughout Canada and the United States.
Holloway Lodging, an open-ended REIT acquired its first property in June of 2006 and today owns a portfolio of 22 hotels in Canada and the U.S. Winport Developments supplies both with new and renovated hotels and Intergy contributes the techno-savvy and leading edge customer contact management. The shared brass ring: 10,000 rooms under ownership and/or management within five years.
Moving from cramped corporate headquarters “offers new opportunities to achieve our people-centric goals,” says Squires.
“Our hotels commit to service excellence for each guest, every day. We have invested in making this new space for the corporate core stimulating and environmentally sensitive and we expect it to nurture great ideas for portfolio growth,” he said.
Designed in colors that draw from the brandpalettes of each company, the space concentrates on natural light, flexible meeting space, an onsite fitness centre and state of the art office and server technology. It’s strategically closer to the Halifax International Airport than to the sushi bars downtown for the convenience of travelling partners and “importantly parking is free”.
PHSI in particular has grown from a family business to a hospitality industry leader in a few short years.
“Today PHSI boasts a management A-Team and skilled bench-strength in every area from accounting to human resources. Essentially our practical, maritime work-ethic and values remain our hallmark…we’ll just showcase it better here,” Squires added.
The new address is: 30 Damascus Road, Suite 201, Bedford, NS B4A 0C1. The website is still www.pacrimhospitality.com, and all phone and e-mail addresses will remain the same.
