$500 a room for a hotel on Fogo Island?

I’d only heard of Fogo Island from the traditional Newfoundland and Labrador song, “I’s the b’y that builds the boat.”  There’s a line in the chorus that says, “Fogo, Twillingate, Moreton’s Harbour, all around the circle.” And I certainly never thought of this rocky island off the coast of Newfoundland as a world class tourist destination luring wealthy travellers who wouldn’t think twice about dropping $500 a night for a hotel room.
