Coast plans three hotels for '09

VANCOUVER—Coast Hotels, which currently has 27 properties in Canada, plans to expand that number by three in 2009.  Twenty-five are branded as Coast properties; the other two are the Campus Tower in Edmonton and Tekarra Lodge in Jasper.

The company plans to open a hotel in Lethbridge, AB in May or June, Chilliwack in June or July, and the flagship Coal Harbour property in downtown Vancouver in October, Mark Hope, executive director of Brand Development told CLN in an interview.

In 2008, Coast added two hotels to its portfolio—the Coast Fraser Inn in Williams Lake, BC and the Coast Edmonton East Hotel in Sherwood, Park, AB.
