G7 is a collection of hospitality industry experts who have experience with major chains, luxury tier, third party management groups, independent hotels and tourism organizations.

G7 Hospitality Group, headquartered in Toronto, is pleased to announce the organization’s expansion, with new offices in Vancouver, Philadelphia and South Florida. G7 has also partnered with Cayuga Hospitality Advisors in the U.S.

As a part of their recent expansion, a number of new members have been added to the G7 Hospitality Group. New members of G7 Hospitality Group include:

o    Stephen Darling, private Consultant with global hotel experience, including Shangri-La, Westin, Mandarin Oriental and the Churchill in London.

o    Barbara Ferrell, Ferrell and Partners, international sales and marketing experience with Fairmont, as well tourism experience with the Canadian Tourism Commission.

o    Chuck Kelley, president of Anderson L&H Advisors, former executive VP for the Marriott’s Caribbean and Latin America Region.

o    Larry Mogelonsky, president of LMA Communications, began his career with Procter & Gamble and spent time at PepsiCo and Bozell Advertising before founding LMA.

o    Bill Scanlon, president of Strategic Solutions Partners and former VP Sales & Marketing with Marriott, HEI and Wyndham.

o    David Thomson, T.T.S. Marketing International, brings an array of corporate hotel experience in sales and marketing, as well as tourism experience from the Canadian Tourism Commission and Tourism Whistler.

Brent Hall has joined Restwell Sleep Products as the senior contract sales executive. Hall comes to Restwell after running a national retailer’s commercial division in BC for 10 years. His B2B experience, and focus on providing an excellent customer experience will continue to keep the Restwell hospitality brand front and centre.

Ashley Allen has also been promoted to contract sales executive at Restwell Sleep Products. As the key contact for the contract sales customer service department, Allen has been instrumental in Restwell’s contract and hospitality success for the past five years. Restwell is excited to have Allen share her knowledge and experience with her customers in an executive sales and service role.

Amie Jenson, regional sales manager, Coast Hotels & Resorts

Coast Hotels & Resorts has announced a number of new appointments.
Amie Jansen is now regional sales manager responsible for corporate and group sales in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, based out of the Coast Edmonton House Hotel. She was previously sales manager, business travel, with the Delta Edmonton South Hotel & Conference Centre. Jansen brings more than 13 years of sales and management experience to Coast including work at individual hotels as well as a western North American hotel chain.

Judy Adams, regional general manager, Coast Hotels & Resorts

Judy Adams has been named regional general manager responsible for the 220-room Coast Coal Harbour Hotel and 269-room Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites in Vancouver. Adams has more than 25 years of hospitality management experience, most recently as GM of the Marquise Group of Companies in Richmond, BC responsible for overseeing the Vancouver Airport Authority’s Customer Care Service Program.

Linda Hagen, director, brand en-gagement, Coast Hotels & Resorts

Linda Hagen is now director of brand engagement, responsible for quality assurance and compliance with Coast Hotels’ brand and product standards among the company’s 41 hotel properties in Canada and the United States. Hagen brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry experience to her new position, most recently serving as GM of the 269-room Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites in Vancouver.

Daniel Mason, sales manager, Watermark Beach Resort, Osoyoos

Bringing an incredible depth of tourism industry knowledge and hospitality experience, Daniel Mason has been appointed sales manager at the Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos, BC. Mason’s hospitality industry career spans 27 years of key sales positions at Air Canada, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Thomas Cook Travel Canada and Navigant Luxury Vacations. Prior to starting at the Watermark, Mason spent five years as sales manager working with the Diamond Regent Hotels, Resorts and Cruises.

Ingrid Jarrett has been promoted to vice president of business development, sales and marketing for the Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos, British Columbia. Jarrett has over 20 years of experience in luxury hotels including The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, The Fairmont Palliser, The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald and The Fairmont Empress. Jarrett was also regional GM for a collection of independent luxury boutique hotels in British Columbia.

Susan Lanc, director of sales, Hilton Worldwide Canadian office

Susan Lanc is now director of sales, worldwide accounts with Hilton Worldwide’s Canadian office. Lanc has been a strong member of the Canadian HWS team for over 10 years. In addition to her focus within HWS, she continues to be a strong supporter of many industry associations including MPI and SITE. She will continue to manage the corporate and incentive market out of the GTA region for Hilton’s domestic and international hotels.

Vito Curalli, exec. dir., Canada, Latin America & Int’l for Hilton Worldwide

Vito Curalli has been named executive director, Canada, Latin America & International for Hilton Worldwide.  His previous title was managing director of sales, Canada, Mexico & International. Curalli oversees a team of 27 sales and marketing professionals across 20 countries in the Americas on behalf of over 3,800 Hilton Worldwide hotels.

Nicolas Billerot, dir. sales, marketing & banquets, Hôtel Le Crystal

Montreal’s Hôtel Le Crystal  recently announced the appointment of Nicolas Billerot as director of sales, marketing and banquets.  Billerot has acquired an enviable expertise in the field of upscale hotels. Prior to joining the Crystal team, he worked since 2008 as director of sales and marketing at the Hotel Maritime Plaza/Le Nouvel Hotel Montreal and Spa.  He has also held management positions at the Opus Hotel Montreal and the Hyatt Regency Montreal.

Michael Billard, the new chair of the Saskatchewan Hotel & Hospitality Association, worked in the auto parts industry and ran a successful cattle and grain farming operation before entering the hospitality industry in 1989. For the next twenty years Billard specialized in fulfilling the needs of three towns in rural Saskatchewan by rejuvenating or re-establishing older buildings and turning them into successful licensed restaurant and off sale liquor enterprises. A veteran of the association’s Board of Directors, Billard takes the reins of an industry association deeply involved in contributing to the rapid growth of Canada’s fastest growing provincial economy.

Robert Lemieux, director, sales and marketing, The Westin Bayshore

Marion Harper Treskin, GM of The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver has announced the appointment of Robert Lemieux as director of sales and marketing for the 511-room upper upscale hotel adjacent to Stanley Park.  Lemieux brings more than 24 years of hotelier and sales expertise to the position. Most recently, he was director of sales and marketing at The Westin Harbour Castle. Previously he was director of sales and marketing at The Westin Ottawa.

Dominion Grand Hotel Group Inc. has appointed Bernd Bohl to the position of general manager of the recently acquired Huntingdon Hotel & Suites in Victoria, BC. Trained in Europe, Bohl brings over 30 years of experience in management positions within the hospitality industry across three continents: North America, Africa and Europe. Recently, Bohl was general manager of The Yorkland Hotel in Toronto. Previous GM positions include The Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort & Conference Centre in Kelowna, BC; Hotel Voyager Inn & Spruce Grove Inn in Banff, AB; and Quality Suites Toronto Airport in Toronto.
