Three new Atlific hotels in two months
TORONTO—Atlific Hotels and Resorts has launched three new properties in the past two months.
The Walnut Beach Resort, set in the midst of BC’s desert wine country, is an all-suite waterfront resort surrounded by mountain views and a private sandy beach on Lake Osoyoos. It opened April 1.
Each of the three-storey resort’s 112 designer suites include classic tile floor, top-thread-count linens, exclusive designer kitchens, flat screen TVs, and more. The property wraps around a half acre courtyard featuring hot tubs, a pool and the extensive Sun Arbour pool deck. The Resort’s Promenade Wine Bar offers tapas and a wide selection of wines from the many local vineyards. With a fully equipped kitchen in each suite, guests may also choose to prepare their own feast using fresh local produce or enjoy a barbecue served on the pool deck.
Executive Suites Garibaldi Springs Golf Resort, (left) which opened in mid-May is an inspiring, all-suite golf resort, located just south of Whistler Resort area along the “Sea to Sky” corridor. The hotel is managed by Atlific.
“We are excited to open the first resort in Squamish – home of the Olympic Nordic Centre and gateway to the Sea-to-Sky region,” said Philippe Gadbois, senior vice president, Atlific Hotels & Resorts.
The 111-room resort features studios and one and two-bedroom suites with spectacular views of the Garibaldi Springs Golf Course. Designed to maintain the integrity of the natural landscape, the resort offers mountain-influenced accommodations. All suites feature the latest bedding as well as a full kitchen with a separate dining area. All guest suites have conwork stations and high speed Internet, both wired and wireless.
The most convenient outdoor experience for guests is the 18 holes of spectacular golf that waits just outside. Designed by renowned Canadian golf course architect Les Furber, Garibaldi Springs Golf Course winds through natural obstacles and an escarpment, clear waters and mountain scenery.
Energy efficiency at Vaughan property
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Vaughan Southwest, another Atlific property, has been carefully constructed to become an industry leader in energy efficiency.
The hotel, which has 125 guestrooms and suites, opened in mid-May.
This new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites is an industry leader for energy efficiency. Intelligent motion sensing thermostats automatically adjust the temperature in guest rooms, common areas and meeting facilities when not in use. Instantaneous hot water heaters eliminate the need for oversize water tanks known to waste large amounts of electricity. An ‘Energy Recovery Unit’ captures energy from exhausted air and redistributes that energy back into common areas such as corridors.
The indoor pool area has an energy recycler dehumidifier which lowers the amount of energy consumption. All exterior windows in the hotel were tinted to a low “e” rating and PTAC heaters provide heat via condensing hydronic boilers rather than the less efficient traditional electric heating.
