CONGRATULATIONS TO Drs. Germain and Swedlove

TORONTO/GUELPH, ON—Two iconic women were honoured last month with honourary doctorates from Ontario universities.

The University of Guelph awarded Wendy Swedlove, president of the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC), the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa for her significant contributions and leadership of human resource development for Canada’s tourism industry on June 13, 2012.

And the next day, in Toronto, Sheldon Levy, president of Ryerson University, awarded an honourary doctorate to Canadian hotelier Christiane Germain, in recognition of her contributions to the Canadian hospitality industry (below).
