CHI celebrates 5th anniversary

Centennial College celebrated the fifth anniversary of its Culture and Heritage Institute with a new festival called Culturama on Sunday, June 3.
The Bkejwanong Cultural Group from Walpole Island, Ontario, opened the Culturama festival.

Culturama was followed by a two day conference titled Travel Tales: Inspiring Stories and Learning from Global Voyages, June 4-5 at Toronto Don Valley Hotel.
Betty Carr, retired publisher, Toronto Community News, was on hand to present awards to organizations that exemplify the goals of the Culture and Heritage Institute.

Other award recipients included Parks Canada and Tourism Toronto.
