TORONTO—Women around the world may swoon over celebrities such as George Clooney and Brad Pitt, but, given the choice, Canadian moms would prefer to vacation with their families, according to the recent Travel Guard/SavvyMom Family Travel Survey. The national survey revealed that travel is a key component of family life, with 82 per cent of survey respondents saying they are planning to take a trip this summer with their family.
The current economic climate has had surprisingly little impact on Canadian family travel plans for this summer with only 4 per cent of Canadian moms saying they are cancelling their trips due to the state of the economy. More than 40 per cent indicated they are travelling just like they always do and 3 per cent are planning to travel more than usual given the great travel discounts this year.
