TORONTO—And, effective December 19th, Delta Hotels and Resorts Corporate Office has moved.  All future invoices and mail should be addressed to: Delta Hotels and Resorts Corporate Office, 77 King Street West, Royal Trust Tower, TD Centre, Suite 2300, P.O. Box 118, Toronto, ON M5K 1G8. Delta’s phone numbers and e-mails will remain the same.

Atlific adds Wingate by Wyndham hotel in Regina, Saskatchewan

REGINA—Atlific Hotels has added the Wingate by Wyndham Regina to its growing management portfolio. Conveniently located in downtown Regina, Saskatchewan, the Wingate by Wyndham is a modern seven-storey hotel with 118 guest rooms ranging from traditional, with two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, to the oversized king suites with a sitting parlour, providing extra  space to work and unwind.

The Wingate by Wyndham Regina has a Three Green Key eco-rating, which acknowledges that the hotel has taken significant steps to protect the environment by implementing strong environmental programs, best management practices, training programs and engineering solutions that benefit the environment and the local community.

Coast Harbourside hotel gets a $6.2 million facelift in Victoria

VICTORIA—One of Victoria’s premier hotels, the Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel & Marina, is getting a facelift.

The Victoria waterfront hotel, home to the popular Blue Crab Bar & Grill seafood restaurant, will undergo a $6.2 million renovation which will include cleaning and resealing the hotel’s brickwork, installing new gutters and flashing, and replacement of windows and sliding doors  along with interior improvements.

The hotel and restaurant will be temporarily closed for approximately four months effective December 27, 2011 to complete the renovation as quickly and efficiently as possible allowing for an early reopening.

The Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel & Marina and the Blue Crab Bar & Grill are scheduled to reopen in late April to early May 2012 just in time for the hotel’s 21st anniversary on June 19, 2012.

Concord sells four Marriotts to Genesis Hospitality

BRANDON, MB / RALEIGH-DURHAM, NC—Concord Hospitality Enterprises, Inc., owner or operator of 11 hotels in Canada, have announced the sale of a portfolio of four  Marriott-branded hotels located in Ontario, Canada to Genesis Hospitality, a Manitoba-based private investment group.  Under the sales agreement, Concord will continue to operate the hotels.  Alam Pirani and Robin McLuskie from Colliers International Hotels and Louis Stervinou and Adam Greenstone from Eastdil Secured acted as exclusive advisors in this transaction.

The hotels, all developed by Concord, include:

o    the 132-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Vaughan;

o    the 94-room Courtyard by Marriott Mississauga Airport/Corporate Centre West;

o    the 133-suite Residence Inn Mississauga Airport/Corporate Centre West;
and

o    the 136-room and suite Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton.

“Concord has been a leader in developing and managing hotels in Canada since 2002 and currently is the largest operator of Marriott-branded properties in the country,” said Mark Laport, CEO of Concord Hospitality Enterprises, Inc.  “We continue to have strong development and third-party management interest nationwide.  This is our first transaction with Genesis, and we look forward to the opportunity to build on that relationship.”

“These four hotels bring our portfolio to 10 properties, and we have an aggressive appetite to build on that,” said Gary Buckley, a partner in Genesis Hospitality.  “We have plans to continue to reinvest in these market leading hotels to maintain their leadership within their respective markets.”
