Holiday Inn's Key Card Hotel at IHG Conference

Holiday Inn's Key Card Hotel was the scene of a meet-and-greet reception for media and IHG executives at the recent IHG Americas Investors and Leadership Conference held in Washington, DC.  Made from more than 200,000 room key cards, the 400 square-foot structure was built to promote the $1 billion relaunch of Holiday Inns, which should be complete by the end of 2010.

‘No moss’ for Pacrim CEO

WASHINGTON, DC—Glenn Squires certainly doesn’t let the moss grow under his feet.  He’s constantly on the move, hammering out deals for Pacrim Hospitality on three or four continents. He’s involved in deals ranging from full service Crowne Plaza hotels to 16 to 20-room micro-inns. His partners range from New York financiers, to First Nations groups, to Muslim companies in the Middle East.


Gopal Rao: IHG’s Canadian pipeline strong for 2010

WASHINGTON, DC—IHG Canada performed well this past year despite the tumultuous economy, growing its portfolio from 141 to 150 hotels.  And the pipeline for 2010 is strong, with 10 Holiday Inns and 24 Holiday Inn Expresses on the books.
