Yarmouth ferry closing affects local hoteliers
YARMOUTH, NS—The high-speed ferry running between Nova Scotia and Maine has sailed its last trip, and the local accommodation industry will been hard hit.
In a town hall news conference just before Christmas, Yarmouth mayor Phil Mooney said, “As of this morning, we have calculated 189 jobs will be eliminated in the 2010 season.”
