Team Benton from Holiday Inn Vancouver wins once again
VANCOUVER—Suzanne Allemeier, GM of the Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown is no stranger to awards and achievements. A couple of years ago, her hotel won the Hotel Association of Canada Humanitarian Award for their work with St. Paul’s Hospital, Davie Village, and the Union Gospel Mission. Late last year, they received InterContinental Hotels Group’s Community Affairs Award for Holiday Inn. And her property was the first in Canada to complete the Holiday Inn relaunch.
But the wins closest to her heart are the two from the Team BC Children’s Hospital Lace Up for Kids event benefitting the Rare Disease Foundation.
“The Holiday Inn team proved to be the top fundraising team for the event for the second year in a row! We are very proud,” she said following the event in late November.

The Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown team is named Team Benton after her godson who is dealing with leukemia.
“So often hotels and businesses tend to get involved in areas where they will get something back,” Allemeier said. “If we look in our backyard, and fill the needs there, it makes us better at our hospitality jobs.”
