HAC Conference 2010 tackles topics from Facebook to F&B
TORONTO—How does consumer behaviour relate to the “new” economic environment? How do you keep housekeeping costs in line? How can you make F&B a profit centre. And what about social media? Is it simply distracting, or can it actually help the bottom line?
These are some of the questions that will be addressed at the Hotel Association of Canada’s 2010 Conference and Tradeshow to be held Feb. 3-4, 2010 at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto.
Canadian hotels are facing a dynamic, challenging, but potentially rewarding environment. With more than 3,500 hotels offering in excess of 325,000 rooms and generating some $11 billion in revenue, Canadian properties form an integral part of the national tourism industry. Yet, at times, the industry seems under siege as a result of human resource constraints, declining American visitation, inconsistent marketing support and a host of local issues.
From its inception, the Hotel Association of Canada Annual Conference and Tradeshow has provided an opportunity for those involved in the operation of Canadian lodging enterprises, and their suppliers, to gain timely insights into industry trends and current practices. This conference provides a vehicle for delegates to benefit from in-depth, interactive sessions that are uniquely Canadian.
