Waterfront’s bees may appear in June National Geographic

VANCOUVER—The magazine hasn’t made any promises, but The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver did host a National Geographic photo shoot recently.  The shoot featured the bees and the herb garden on top of its roof. The photos are under consideration for the June 2009 issue, says Fairmont spokesperson Brenda Meikle. Both the honey and herbs are used in the hotel’s restaurants. Shown below with the bee beard is former executive chef, Shannon Wrightson.
