Jasper Park Lodge hosts AHLA’s 90th convention and trade show
JASPER, AB—The AHLA may be celebrating its 90th convention and trade show, but there’s nothing frail or elderly about this group! On the contrary, their convention theme this year is “Experience the Energy.”
Offering members world class speakers and programming, the AHLA’s convention is also an opportunity to network with industry colleagues and get caught up on the latest on the changing realities that affect tourism and hospitality in Alberta.
After two years at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, the AHLA convention and trade show is back at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge April 18 - 20 for the 90th Annual Convention & Trade Show.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Warren Macdonald, who became trapped under a one-ton boulder in an ordeal that occurred when he was climbing to the summit of the tallest peak on an island near the Great Barrier Reef. The accident cost him the use of both legs, but it didn’t take away his spirit.
Other business sessions deal with topics ranging from the future of responsible gaming to “The Housekeeping Edge.”
Highlights of the convention include the Housekeeping Awards Gala Monday, April 19, and the Gold Key & Employer of Choice Awards Luncheon Tuesday, April 20. The convention will wrap up with the Chairman’s Dinner, sponsored by SYSCO Edmonton, on April 20.
