Lorane Gray retires from the SHHA
REGINA—The SHHA AGM included a salute to Lorane Gray, who was described as “the heart and soul of the SHHA” for more than 25 years. Gray, who has worked with six executive directors and 14 different chairs, will be retiring from the association next January.
Letters and tributes from executive directors and chairs past and present praised Gray for her dedicated service, sense of duty and fairness, kind voice and cheery disposition, as she performed a very demanding job that required her to wear many different hats.
The association presented her with a framed cartoon showing her hard at work at the SHHA, and a wine decanter with two glasses engraved with the association’s past and present logos.
Gray has enjoyed her work.
“When I come to work, I can map out my day, set my own schedule and set the priorities that need to be done,” she said. When she retires, she plans lots of golf, curling and travelling, plus more time with her family who are all in Regina.
